Three Months Analysing a Diary Study
At Atlassian he worked with a researcher on a diary study, he told Maddyness. Participants wrote journal entries, she highlighted them by hand, and the highlights were mapped onto a whiteboard. The study took two weeks; analysing the data took around three months. "I thought to myself, there has got to be a better and faster way," he said.
He started Dovetail solo in 2016, he told Maddyness, and in 2017 convinced his former Atlassian colleague Bradley Ayers to join him full-time for his engineering background.
