Umesh Kumar
Co-founder and CEO
Runable
Runable started as an AI infrastructure company building browser automation to scrape data at scale. Then Umesh Kumar and co-founder Saksham Sarda noticed people kept asking its browser agent to build slide decks and websites instead, according to FounderMag. Kumar is co-founder and CEO of Runable, a Bengaluru, India, company building a general-purpose AI agent for small businesses.
SkoolStream's Sale Before Runable
Kumar studied computer science at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, according to his Stackforce profile. He co-founded SkoolStream, which was acquired, and later Unbind, a community for NEET aspirants. As a software engineer at Salesforce he built generative AI services.
Runable's Growth Agent
The pivot took Runable from zero to a $2 million annualized revenue run rate within three weeks of turning on payments in March, according to FounderMag. Its product lets a nontechnical small-business owner describe a website, app or presentation in plain language and get a deployed result.
Runable later raised a $21 million Series A co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners at a $65 million post-money valuation, according to Kumar. At the time, the company had 15 people, and its users had consumed more than 1 trillion tokens on Runable in the previous 90 days.
