AI Partner
Elevation Capital
Krishna Mehra co-founded Capillary Technologies in 2008 and, as CTO, scaled it from its first line of code to serving 300 million consumers and 300 brands across 25,000 locations, according to Elevation Capital. He is now an AI partner at Elevation, specializing in enterprise AI investments from the San Francisco Bay Area in California.
In 2015 Mehra founded Taro, a meal delivery marketplace. As CEO, he scaled it to over a million meals delivered across eight U.S. states before its acquisition by EAT Club.
At Meta, Mehra led engineering for messaging ads, driving $10B+ in revenue with AI-driven products, including early adoption of Meta's Llama. Before that he architected exabyte-scale cloud systems at Cohesity. He graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a B.Tech degree in computer science, and as an angel investor has backed over 45 companies, according to his Elevation profile.
Joining Elevation as AI Partner
Elevation announced Mehra as AI partner in December 2024, saying he would lead its presence in Silicon Valley. He leads the firm's AI and SaaS investments along the India-US corridor, The Economic Times reported. His angel investments include Innovaccer and MoEngage.
Leading Dextr AI's Seed Round
Elevation led the $6.7 million seed round for Dextr AI, a San Francisco startup building agents for hotels, with Foundation Capital participating, according to Crunchbase News. It was Dextr's first institutional financing.
"What stood out immediately was Sajid and Scott's execution," Mehra told Crunchbase News by email. "In a space where most AI companies are still searching for product-market fit, Dextr had customers, zero churn, and a clear ROI story."
