Srikar Dandamuraju
Co-founder and CEO
Alter
Srikar Dandamuraju was a platform lead at Goldman Sachs, where he saw a security gap in AI agents first hand, according to The Silicon Review. "Conventional Identity and Access Management was not designed for autonomous agents," he said. He is now co-founder and CEO of Alter, a New York City, New York, company building zero-trust identity and access control for AI agents.
Platform Work at Goldman Sachs
At Goldman Sachs he scaled GSAM's post-trade infrastructure from single to multi-cluster and helped launch the GM Card, according to Alter's YC page. Before that he was a software engineer at Addepar and Clear Street. Co-founder and CTO Kevan Dodhia was technical co-founder of Compute.ai, which sold into regulated enterprises like LSEG and was acquired in 2025.
Controlling Agent Access at Alter
Alter verifies each agent request at the parameter level and blocks unsafe actions, "whether it's a rogue DROP TABLE or a payment above policy limits," before they reach production, according to its YC page. It issues ephemeral, scope-narrowed access for each interaction. Alter went through YC's Summer 2025 batch and counts Fortify Ventures among its investors.
