Building an Autopilot for Aviation

He started coding when he learned to write, at age five, and later studied computer science. Before Lakera he spent years on safety-critical AI, building diagnostic systems in healthcare and helping build a company that made "the first fully autonomous autopilot for aviation," he told Snyk's podcast.

The Game That Was Almost Called Yoda

Lakera built Gandalf, a game in which players try to trick a language model into revealing a password. It was originally going to be called Yoda until someone circulated a meme of the wizard saying "You shall not pass," according to The Stack. More than one million people have played it. "The way to think about Gandalf is that it's really the world's largest red team," Haber said.
