Meiran Galis is founder and CEO of Scytale, which automates security compliance for frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR and PCI DSS.
Auditing at EY
Galis worked for years as an auditor at EY. "I saw how challenging and time-consuming it was for the companies – especially the tech companies – to get SOC 2 compliant or ISO 27001 compliant," he told Startup Pill.
Screenshots for Months
He started Scytale so founders and CTOs could focus on their products "instead of collecting screenshots for months to prepare for their audit." Looking back, he said he would have invested even more in understanding the compliance challenges of different industries and geographies.
