Aayush Ghosh Choudhury is co-founder and CEO of Scrut, a governance, risk and compliance platform started in late 2021, according to Lightspeed India.
He holds a BTech in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar, and studied at the Indian School of Business, then worked as an associate at McKinsey & Company from 2016 to 2019, according to Unify.
Chasing SOC 2 to Close Enterprise Deals
He and co-founder Jayesh Gadewar were building an AI-powered supplier collaboration platform that needed SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance to close enterprise deals, according to YourStory. Compliance took time and money away from building product.
Lightspeed signed Scrut's seed term sheet 24 hours after the first meeting, Lightspeed partner Dev Khare said.
Bringing In Kush Kaushik as Third Co-founder
Choudhury and Gadewar teamed up with Kush Kaushik, who had been helping them navigate compliance, to build Scrut Automation. By April 2024 the company had raised $20.5 million in total venture funding from investors including Lightspeed, MassMutual Ventures and Endiya Partners, according to PR Newswire.
