Bootstrapping RecruiterBox

Before Sprinto he co-founded RecruiterBox, a bootstrapped applicant tracking system that was acquired, he told Open Source CEO. "At the start of RecruiterBox, we had no idea what we were doing," he said. He and his co-founder learned every part of the business themselves, and he came to see himself as the bottleneck. They decided to leave the company "in better hands," and Sprinto launched about a year and a half later.

Manual Compliance at RecruiterBox

He had managed compliance at RecruiterBox himself. "I wouldn't wish doing it manually on my worst enemy," he said. Because the work is usually sold as a service, he and his co-founder spent the better part of a year turning each piece of it into automated product.
