Stepping Down After the Invasion of Ukraine

"When the invasion started, half of the Yandex top management and a thousand engineers left the country," he said, and many of them joined Nebius.
Returning to the CEO Job at 60
The international Yandex business rebranded as Nebius Group with Volozh as CEO, The Bell wrote, and he admitted that returning to the role after a decade away was stressful. "We need to launch a new company," he said. Nasdaq trading resumed under the ticker NBIS in October 2024, and Nebius then raised $700 million in a private placement from investors including Nvidia and Accel.
