Pramaana Labs
At Glean, Krishnan Raghavan built the first Glean Assistant and "went to war with hallucinations," his co-founders wrote in Pramaana Labs' launch post. He co-founded Pramaana with Ranjan Rajagopalan and Sanjay Ganapathy, all IIT Madras alumni, according to The Economic Times.
Verified Models at Pramaana
Pramaana encodes the rules of regulated domains, such as the US tax code, clinical protocols and financial regulations, into a formal language a machine can reason over. When a user asks a question, the system translates it into a formal statement and runs it through a proof engine. It either returns a machine-checkable proof that the answer is correct, or says exactly which rule breaks and why.
Pramaana's tax effort is advised by former IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel.
A Khosla Ventures Seed Round
Pramaana announced $27 million in seed funding led by Khosla Ventures in June 2026, with Accel, BoldCap, Nexus Venture Partners, Premji Invest and Unbound participating, according to TechCrunch. Its approach draws on LEAN, the open source language used to verify mathematical proofs.
