7.6/10
Overall Score
Recommend

Orb is built for teams that change pricing often, with raw-event metering and migration tools so finance and product can ship new plans without a multi-month engineering project.

Best for

AI and SaaS companies moving to usage-based or hybrid pricing that need flexible metrics, invoicing, and finance integrations.

Not ideal for

Early-stage teams that only need Stripe Billing with simple seats, or buyers who want public list prices.

Verdict

Orb is a usage-based billing company co-founded by Alvaro Morales and Kshitij Grover, with Morales as CEO. Its platform ingests billing events, defines metrics with SQL, supports hybrid and credit plans, and handles invoicing with finance integrations. AI and infrastructure companies use it when seat-based plans no longer match how customers consume the product.

How it's used

“Integrating with Orb was dead simple, and since then, it's almost completely hands-off - it just works.”

Logan Gore, Software engineer at Stytch, company testimonial published by Orb · withorb.com case study
What people like

“Orb was the only vendor that supported everything we needed - right out of the box.”

Nate Graf, Senior Engineering Manager at LaunchDarkly, company testimonial published by Orb · withorb.com case study
What people don't like

Orb’s only list price is $6.00 per credit on the Business plan, and a credit is metered against billings, event ingestion and other dimensions, so teams have to model credit use to estimate cost. Enterprise pricing is custom.
