Founder and CEO

Superhuman

Series B+ AI email assistants
Why watch Vohra treats email as a product design problem: speed, keyboard craft, and now AI that keeps humans in control of the inbox.

Rahul Vohra is founder of Superhuman, an email client built for speed, which Grammarly acquired in 2025. Before that he co-founded Rapportive, which LinkedIn bought.

Teaching Himself to Code at Eight

Vohra dreamed of being a game developer as a child and taught himself to code from the age of eight, according to a Salesflare interview. He later worked as a professional game developer on RuneScape.

Landing in the Hospital Before Selling Rapportive

Rapportive, a browser plug-in for email, went from its first line of code to Y Combinator's summer 2010 batch in the same year, according to Fortune. From the outside it looked like the "perfect success story," Vohra said, but the company was running out of money. In 2011, as he was about to close its sale to LinkedIn at 27, the stress sent him to the hospital.

Rethinking Email at Superhuman

After the sale he spent time at LinkedIn as a product manager, then set out to rethink the email client. He has said that transcendental meditation and a healthier lifestyle helped him avoid "existential dread" when he sold Superhuman to Grammarly.
