Eoghan McCabe

Eoghan McCabe is co-founder and CEO of Intercom, the customer service software company behind the Fin AI agent. He founded it in Dublin, Ireland, in 2011 with Des Traynor, Ciarán Lee, and David Barrett, according to The Irish Times.

Coming Back to Finish What He Started

McCabe returned as CEO in October 2022, replacing Karen Peacock. "Recently, some of our board members asked if I'd come back and I felt called to finish what I started," he wrote in a blog post quoted by The Irish Times.

Rebuilding Intercom Around Fin

A year after his return, The Currency described the work behind Fin. "There was a lot of reinvention, a lot of rethinking to create Fin," McCabe said. "It was long hours, but for the first time I heard people say: 'It feels like a start-up again.'" Co-founder Ciarán Lee, who had left in July 2021, rejoined the company in March 2023.
