Hyperscience vs Indico Data
Hyperscience and Indico Data are document processing tools, which read incoming documents such as forms, claims and invoices and turn the contents into structured data that business systems can use. Our editors read both companies' own sites, then read what operations and IT teams say about the two tools in public reviews, community boards and chat forums. The table below compares price, limits and features.

List prices in US dollars per month before tax, as published on each vendor's site on October 16, 2026, billed monthly unless the cell says otherwise. "Quote" means the vendor sets the price through its sales team. A green check marks a row where the published data shows a clear edge.
Which one fits
Both are sold through a sales team, so the choice comes down to your industry and what happens to your documents after extraction.
Choose Hyperscience if
- You process large, mixed packets of documents and need high accuracy on the hard ones, with the security review that large enterprises and government agencies run.
- You work in the public sector or a regulated industry. Hyperscience sells versions of its Hypercell platform for SNAP benefits and freight pay, and lists insurance, healthcare and financial services work.
- You want a large vendor. Hyperscience says Gartner named it a Leader in the 2026 Magic Quadrant for Intelligent Document Processing.
Choose Indico Data if
- You are an insurer, and most of your documents are submissions, claims and policy servicing requests. Indico builds its product around that work, including statements of values and loss runs.
- You want extracted data to drive the next step in the workflow, such as routing a claim or queuing a quote, in addition to filling fields.
- You care about turnaround time. Convex Insurance told Indico it cut the time spent on statements of values by more than 90%.
What buyers say
“Hyperscience is better on handwritten and low-DPI forms, that’s where it beat other OCR we tried. Indico is better when the workflow is industry document understanding with heavier services.”

“Hyperscience if accuracy on messy scans is the blocker. Indico if you need a partner-shaped IDP build more than a self-serve extraction API.”
Abdul Quadir · PeerSpot · · source
“As an insurer we chose Indico because the extracted data drives the next step, such as routing a claim or queuing a quote. Hyperscience scored well on hard documents and security review, but we did not need that breadth.”

Methodology
We read the Hyperscience and Indico Data pricing pages and product sites on October 16, 2026 and recorded every published price, limit and plan feature. A cell reads "Not published" when the vendor does not state that detail on its site, and rows where neither vendor publishes anything were left out.
