Greptile vs Qodo

Greptile and Qodo are AI code review tools, which read a team's code changes and leave comments on them before they're merged. Our editors read both companies' own sites, then read what developers say about the two tools in public reviews, community boards and chat forums. List prices in US dollars per month before tax, as published on each vendor's site on October 16, 2026, billed monthly unless the cell says otherwise. "Quote" means the vendor sets the price through its sales team. A green check marks a row where the published data shows a clear edge.

Which one fits

Greptile counts reviews in credits per seat, and Qodo sells pooled credit packs, so your review volume and need for test generation decide this.

Choose Greptile if

  • You want comments that draw on the whole codebase. Greptile builds a graph of the full repository before it reviews a change.
  • You are one developer on private repos. Starter is free for one developer with 50 credits per month.
  • You host code on Gitea, Bitbucket Data Center, GitLab Self-Managed or Perforce.

Choose Qodo if

  • You want review and test generation together. Qodo checks pull requests and writes tests in the same product.
  • You want team rules enforced on every change. Qodo includes a rules system with no limit on Pro Team.
  • You want to bring your own model keys or run on-premises. Enterprise offers both.

What buyers say

“Greptile is better when repo-wide context on unchanged files catches real bugs. Qodo is better when you want Jira/past-PR awareness without drowning in medium-severity noise.”

nyfael · r/codereview · · source

“Qodo felt more team-aware than the others we tried. Greptile’s strength was looking beyond the diff, different wins depending on what your PRs usually miss.”

Critical-Ask-414 · r/codereview · · source

“Greptile's comments reflect the whole repository, not only the diff, which catches cross-file issues. Qodo's test generation and rules system are appealing, but cross-file context mattered more to us.”

Methodology

We read the Greptile and Qodo pricing pages and product sites on October 16, 2026 and recorded every published price, limit and plan feature. A cell reads "Not published" when the vendor does not state that detail on its site, and rows where neither vendor publishes anything were left out.

Scores, best-fit notes and buyer quotes come from the AIR reviews of each product, which weight practitioner reviews at 40%, hands-on product checks at 35%, pricing at 15% and docs at 10%. Paid reviews and pay-for-play sites are excluded. Quotes marked Representative buyer view are written by AIR to reflect buyer feedback and carry no source link.
