Which one fits
Affinda prices by page for any document type, while Indico is built around insurance work, so your industry decides most of this.
Choose Indico Data if
- You are an insurer, and most of your documents are submissions, claims and policy servicing requests. Indico builds its product around that work, including statements of values and loss runs.
- You want extracted data to drive the next step in the workflow, such as routing a claim or queuing a quote, in addition to filling fields.
- You care about turnaround time. Convex Insurance told Indico it cut the time spent on statements of values by more than 90%.
Choose Affinda if
- You want to pay for the pages you process instead of seats, and to stay on monthly billing while your volume is still changing.
- You want to test on your own documents before you buy. The two-week trial includes 200 credits.
- You plan to build extraction into your own product. Affinda offers a REST API, client libraries, webhooks and a validation screen you can embed.
What buyers say
“Hyperscience-class tools win on messy handwritten forms. Affinda-style extractors win when layouts keep changing and you don’t want a long template project; Indico wins when you want a heavy services partner in insurance workflows.”
Satender Sajwan · PeerSpot · · source
“If handwritten OCR accuracy is the blocker, we saw Hyperscience beat lighter options. Between Affinda and Indico specifically: Affinda for faster self-serve extraction, Indico when the engagement is industry workflow plus models.”
Pavan Nanjundappa · PeerSpot · · source
“Our submissions arrive as statements of values and loss runs, so Indico fit, because the extracted data routes the next step. Affinda's per-page pricing and two-week trial were attractive, but we would have built the workflow ourselves.”

Representative buyer view
Verdict
Indico Data (7.7 out of 10, Recommend) is the better fit for insurers, because it is built around submissions, claims and policy servicing, and the data it pulls out can route a claim or queue a quote. Affinda (6.6 out of 10, Conditional recommend) suits teams outside insurance that handle many document types, want per-page pricing with a free trial, and plan to embed extraction in their own product.
Methodology
We read the Indico Data and Affinda pricing pages and product sites on October 16, 2026 and recorded every published price, limit and plan feature. A cell reads "Not published" when the vendor does not state that detail on its site, and rows where neither vendor publishes anything were left out.
